A number of factors I ended up burning out after a non stop push for six years, and I had to step away for what I had hoped would be at most a couple months - that turned into a year! I was always around, but I needed to get myself and my life back to square one; now that I have, I will work smarter and more efficiently to prevent another burnout. My goals are to return to a level of output both by posts and pinups, and go even beyond - but it will be slow at first. As I balance my life better and balance my social media work with the rest of my life, I will ensure things will come out faster, and I will take on all the projects I always envisioned myself doing.
I have so much I want to do. I still need to do audio releases of Ranmabooks comics! I want to start another blog! I want to explore game making! I want to bring back commissions. I can’t say I will do it all this year, but I will work towards it, and thank you all for your patience!
20+ Years and the Future
2026! While in some form or another, Ranmabooks co-owner SHADE had been working on Ranma ½ hentai for 25 years, It was 2006 when Ranmabooks sowed their oats onto the internet. There have been many changes in that time! When Ranmabooks first started there were no subscriptions! The ‘books’ in Ranmabooks was the art team and the writing team (Deep Star, SHADE) busting their asses every month to release a finished product. To remove the limitations on how epic our stories could be, and to keep up with the costs of production, our subscription service Ranmabooks Defenders came online in 2009! With Defenders, our stories became longer, girthier, and sexier. Combined with multi-weekly updates of pinups and short comics, the fun was endless! In that time we had explored other product lines including Justice Hentai. We have come a long way, done so much, and now we have reached another moment in time where we need to change to keep going.
I’m sure you know, but making art isn’t always easy, and that was before the merchant account companies started wagging their fingers at our content. After their ever increasing limits and our ever increasing frustrations to said limits, We have chosen to no longer associate with those companies, and so we have made Patreon our primary payment system.
